Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Jim draws on a history of leadership and innovation, taking responsibility for business strategy and execution, marketing, and product strategy. Prior to co-founding Beanstock Media, Jim was President of Traffic MarketPlace, one of the largest independent ad networks for advertisers and publishers. Before that he was CEO of AdModus, an ad serving technology company acquired by Connexus in July 2007. Jim also served as President and CEO of Conducive, where he created adMarketplace, which powered eBay’s self-service keyword advertising system. He held several senior positions at DoubleClick, most notably Vice President of Sales for the reunified DoubleClick Media division. He was also a co-founder of Digital Music Network, where he developed both an early Web design company and the Internet’s first vertical ad network. Jim received his B.A. in economics from the University of Maine. He loves all New England pro sports teams and is an avid snowboarder.
Chief Operating Officer
Ryan leads Beanstock Media’s publisher service, finance, and business operations. His teams cultivate premium publisher relationships with ongoing strategic consulting, high impact standardization, and custom implementations. Before co-founding Beanstock Media, Ryan founded PubHelix, a publisher sales and yield optimization service. As CEO, he managed over 100 publisher and buyer relationships, developing the foundation for what would later become Beanstock Media’s exchange ecosystem (Beanstock acquired PubHelix in 2011). Prior to PubHelix, he was Senior Partner Manager of Yahoo’s Display Platform Group where his teams oversaw both Right Media (RMX) and APT exchange publisher technology implementations. Previously he acted as Director of Network Sales at Monster Worldwide, managing all of monster.com, military.com, and the Tickle Grapevine publishers’ non-premium yield management. During this time, he became an early RMX adopter and one of the industry’s first experts in publisher yield optimization. Ryan received his B.A. in English from Georgetown University and is a die-hard basketball fan and music enthusiast.
Chief Revenue Officer
Joe is responsible for the growth of Beanstock’s revenue and margins. He manages the Beanstock Media demand team, ensuring that each client’s strategic and campaign objectives are met. He is responsible for finding and signing new sources of demand, making sure that buyers have the access they need to available inventory opportunities, and seeing that high impact campaigns are properly executed technically. Before joining Beanstock Media, Joe was Regional Vice President of Sales at Turn, whose platforms are utilized to manage digital advertising campaigns for Global 2,000 brands. Having served as Director of Sales at Yahoo!, Joe has over a decade of online network sales experience, leading and managing sales teams selling custom sponsorships, premium publishers, behavioral targeting exchanges, and sales platforms. After beginning his career as an Account Executive at DoubleClick, he served as East Coast Sales Director at Net2Phone and West Coast Sales Director at Undertone Networks, a provider of unified digital advertising platforms. Joe received his B.A. English from The University of North Carolina. He loves to travel and is a major foodie and self-described social beast.
